The United Voice of the Attractions Industry
The California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA) is actively engaged in legislative advocacy in Sacramento to represent the interests of the attractions industry. CAPA helps its members stay informed and connected with industry peers with monthly calls to provide updates on the latest legislative and regulatory developments, as well as opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Legislative Tracking: CAPA tracks dozens of bills each year to ensure the attractions industry is not adversely impacted. In addition, CAPA meets regularly with elected officials and staff members to educate them about industry issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: CAPA works closely with state agencies, such as Cal/OSHA, to ensure that regulations are reasonable and practical. We advocate for clear and consistent regulations that promote safety without imposing undue burdens.
- Tourism Promotion: CAPA collaborates with allies within the tourism industry to promote California as a premier global destination. We advocate for policies that support and encourage visitation to California’s attractions.
